The parish conference of St Vincent de Paul is looking for new members to help us in our work.
We are very grateful for the support we receive from parishioners by way of food and cash donations, as well as your help in delivering our Christmas hampers. But right now we could
do with some extra arms and legs.
Our parish gets more calls for assistance than any other parish in Canberra. Calls went up by 16% over the past year and we can expect that increases in the cost of living will keep the demand for our services high.
So we would love you to think about joining us in serving our local community.
You might think about becoming a full member, which involves a commitment to attend a meeting once a fortnight and to be available to visit people seeking our help once a fortnight. Or you might think about becoming an associate member who doesn’t attend meetings, but helps out from time to time.
Members of the local conference will be speaking at this week’s Masses and then will be available for you to speak to after Masses.
Why not pop in for a chat if you would like to find out more about what the St Vincent de Paul Society does in your parish.
